Introduction

Dear Parent/Guardian,

              Welcome to the 23/24 school year! My name is Elvira Thrasher. I have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Special Education. I have taught for 3 years in Alabama, and I am new to Tennessee. I am very excited to meet each student, parent/guardian.

I have had a passion for Special Education for over 20 years. I decided to go to school in order to earn my teaching degree and work with students with special needs.

              I want you to know that I will strive to be your child’s biggest cheerleader and advocate. In return, I will encourage them to be respectful and come to class each day prepared and willing to learn. Organization, consistency, and routine are key factors in promoting positive behaviors. There will be rules to follow in order to keep everyone safe.
