Subjects Taught
Pre-K Teacher

Education is very important to me. I attended Cosby School in Cosby, TN for grades K-12. I graduated from Cosby High School in in 2007. After that, I went on to Walters State Community College, where I received an Associate of Science in Early Childhood Education. In 2009, I entered ETSU and graduated with Honors and a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education.

While in college, I was blessed to be able to complete my student teaching experience here at Nolachuckey. From the moment I walked in the doors, I fell in love with this school. I completed my student teaching and was offered a position with Douglas Cherokee Head Start. I began my education career in Cosby, TN. I worked in a Head Start Classroom with three and four year old children. After this, I was given the opportunity to begin teaching here at Nolachuckey. I am so happy to be here and I feel right at home! This year will mark my third year at Nolachuckey.

My name is Beth Sutton and I am the Pre-K teacher here at Nolachuckey Elementary. I grew up in Cosby, TN and decided when I was in the second grade that I wanted to be a teacher. My teacher at the time, Mrs. Stuart inspired me and I wanted to be just like her when I grew up! I grew up with a younger brother and two parents who were always supportive of me and my dreams. After I graduated from high school, I went on to receive degrees from WSCC and ETSU. I truly enjoy working with children, and my dreams come true everyday when I walk into my classroom and see a room full of smiling faces who are ready to learn and grow!
