2018 Press Release:

Greene County Schools ANNOUNCE Kindergarten Registration process for 2018-2019 school year

Greene County Schools will begin the process of kindergarten registration on April 23rd. There were some changes in the process last year, that will require the child to be part of the registration process and will need to come to the school for a brief assessment of kindergarten readiness.

Parents will need to call the school of expected enrollment between Monday, April 23rd and Thursday April 26th, to schedule an appointment for the registration process.

Each appointment will take about 20 minutes for students to complete a brief assessment and for parents to complete necessary paperwork. Each school will set the appointments for the screening and will have a parent night (before school is out) to discuss potential summer opportunities for your child.

Children must be five-years old on or before August 15, 2018, to qualify for Kindergarten. Please contact the school or central office if you have questions.

To apply for Kindergarten enrollment, parents should provide a copy of their child’s birth certificate, social security card, and immunization/health record on the most recent form, which may be obtained from a doctor or the health department.

1)      Call the school to schedule an appointment

2)      Bring the following items to the appointment:

d.      Social Security Card
